The global deep tech ecosystem has a new champion as Remy Chukwunyere, EMBA has officially been appointed a Deep Tech MEA Ambassador, representing the rapidly growing innovation landscape across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
In this role, Mr. Chukwunyere shall connect visionary deep tech founders, investors, corporates, and policymakers, creating opportunities that accelerate transformative technologies in areas such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, climate tech, and advanced engineering.

My mission is to shine a global spotlight on the region’s deep tech potential, foster cross-border partnerships, and ensure that our highly innovative founders can scale and compete at the global stage.”
As an ecosystem builder and leadership coach, Remy Chukwunyere brings on board over 20 years of experience in guiding entrepreneurs and leadership executives in building sustainable ventures. At the Ugwumba Leadership Center, he has facilitated the creation of more than 7,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria, while building a network of over 20,000 young entrepreneurs across Africa.
His appointment reflects both his dedication to the ecosystem and his unique ability to bridge MENA startups with international investors, corporates, and innovation hubs.
The Deep Tech MEA Initiative was launched by the GITEX Expand North Star and Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship to empower leaders who can amplify innovation ecosystems, foster collaboration, and accelerate global impact. The ambassadors act as ecosystem connectors, driving initiatives that open doors for startups to grow beyond borders.
Through this role, Mr. Chukwunyere shall:
1) Facilitate cross-border investments and partnerships,
2) Support deep tech founders in becoming investor-ready and scalable, and
3) Advocate for greater global recognition of innovations arising from the Middle East and Africa.
This appointment underscores the momentum building across the MEA deep tech ecosystem and signals a bright future for entrepreneurs seeking to shape industries and solve global challenges.
